Call for Papers, Posters, or Lightning Talks
2017 MAC/MLA Annual Meeting
October 20 – 24
You are invited to submit proposals for contributed papers, posters or lightning talks for the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Medical Library Association in Staunton, VA, October 20-24, 2017.
The meeting theme is “Face Your Fears” and will take place at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel and Conference Center, in historic Downtown Staunton, home to a vibrant arts and culinary culture. Nearby you can visit wineries, spas, boutiques, pubs, and galleries and hike or bike through the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Staunton has something for everyone!
Proposals should relate to the meeting’s theme. We are interested in scenarios in which presenters faced a specific fear (institutional, professional, etc.) and how they harnessed the power of information to resolve that fear. We also welcome proposals that address patron’s fears in an ever-changing information landscape.
